Our graduates
are some of the most effective and eloquent ambassadors for the Hill School
program. Their ability to articulate the value of a Hill School education
is often very impressive. A number of our young alumni work at Hill during
the summer in positions ranging from front office receptionist and grounds
workers to counselors in our summer program. I am proud to have these
young people represent the school.
I asked
one of these students to give a tour of the campus and answer questions
about the school to a prospective teacher. Later, I asked the candidate
how the tour had gone. She remarked that she was impressed with how well
the recent graduate understood our program. Most memorable to her, however,
was this student's comment about the faculty, "Hill teachers do a
lot more than just teach classes. They really care about us as people."
A Hill
school education involves: offering opportunities every day for academic
experiences in small classes, and providing opportunities for every student
to participate in a wide range of co-curricular activities such as art,
athletics, community service, drama, music, and outdoor education. A third,
equally important component is Hill's continued emphasis on a strong community
where older students provide responsible and caring leadership for our
younger students.
On behalf
of the entire Hill family, we invite you to learn more about our school.
Sincerely,
Thomas
