Background and Governance
The Hill School was founded in 1926 as an independent coeducational day school.
It is located on a one hundred and thirty-seven acre campus overlooking the historic town of Middleburg, Virginia.
The Hill School is a non-profit organization operated under the guidelines of the
Commonwealth of Virginia. The Board of Trustees, the school’s all volunteer governing body, elects its own officers, hires the Headmaster,
and sets general guidelines for the school.
