Hill School Golf 2012 021This year’s outing was again held at the Shenandoah Valley Golf Club on a spectacular October afternoon. Tournament Director Haley Walsh and her team of volunteers organized another outstanding event. Each year proceeds provide funding for the Alumni Association to support Hill’s Auction as well as other special projects for the school and the Middleburg community.

Head of School, Treavor Lord, and Alumni Board President Charles Ellison welcomed the fourteen foursomes who participated in the Captain’s Choice format. This year’s winning team (gross) with a 12 under par 59 was led by Lily Barston, mother of Hill teacher Kate Barston, who carried her three partners: Tom Northrup and the Woodruff brothers, Don and Gary.  The winning “net” team with a score of 55 was anchored by Hill alumnus Trowbridge Littleton ’56; Lewis “Punch” Pollard, John Palmer, and Jock Reuter rounded out the foursome.

Thanks to everyone who participated and special thanks to our many and generous sponsors.
