Giving TreeEach year, Hill School students participate in a variety of community service initiatives. During the holiday season, all students at Hill are encouraged to bring a new toy, one that is gender and age appropriate for them, to share with children from the local community. For the past ten years, Hill School has partnered with Seven Loaves – a Middleburg based organization dedicated to providing food, personal supplies, and other items to families that are in need of assistance – to distribute these gifts.

Treavor Lord, Hill’s Head of School, received a letter from George Lengauer, President of Seven Loaves, thanking the entire Hill community for their efforts:

Dear Treavor,

On behalf of our volunteers and the people we serve, I want to thank you, your faculty and staff, your students, and their parents for the extremely generous donation of toys given in support of our Seven Loaves Christmas Shop this year. The Hill School’s support of this annual event is critical to its success – and you never fail us.

With your continued support, we distributed clothing and toys to almost 400 children this Christmas season. We are grateful that you chose to assist us in our mission and our patrons in their need.

Sincerely,
George
